New feature about local wine suppliers
I've just added another new page: this time featuring some of our favourite wine merchants and suppliers in and around Zurich. Have a look at the link on the right to Wine Merchants in and Around Zurich. So far I've mentioned Vinique and Ugarte. Both great wine sellers and genial hosts.

More Wine Events
Today I added the Day of the Open Wine Cellars and the ZUSPA trade fair, which features wines, to my Wine Events. See link here and on the right.
There are still more wineries and vineyards to add: Swiss, Spanish, Portuguese and South African included.

Adding some vineyard tours
After establishing my Wine Blog, today I added some vineyard visits as Pages. So far, I've covered Barossa Valley in South Australia, Northern Rhone wine region in France, Greek wines in Santorini and Mallorcan wines. See links on the right.
Coming next - Swiss vineyards and wineries, Portuguese port from Porto, Stellenbosch wines near Cape Town, South Africa, burgundies from Beaune, German wines from Mosel and Franconia. We also like the French and Spanish wines presented and sold here in Zurich by Tristan at Vinique. Ugarte in Wollishofen also promotes and sells some great value Spanish and Portuguese wines.

Looking back at Wine Discovery events
I've been a member of ZIWA's Wine Discovery group for many years: past chairladies include Valerie Danish, Christine Gilbert and Tonny Pieron, Nancy Callaway and Philippa Keller, and most recently Evi Hock and Marianne Shoman. They all ran varied and informative wine-related events in and around Zurich and Switzerland.
